The Oceanfront
Two blocks east, the Atlantic waits. Early mornings here mean glassy surf, long swims, and the quiet rhythm of the tide before the city wakes. The boardwalk runs for miles — perfect for sunrise rides, evening walks, or just standing still.

First Landing State Park
First Landing State Park, where English colonists first landed in 1607, has a rich history shaped by Native Americans, settlers, and even pirates like Blackbeard. Built partly by an all–African American Civilian Conservation Corps, it’s now a National Natural Landmark and Virginia’s most visited state park.
